We’ve purchased some special equipment and software and now offer streaming audio and video. Streaming refers to the transmission of audio and video over the Internet. When a Web customer wants to see or hear the information on your Web site, audio or video starts playing almost immediately after they click on the link (button) and continues to stream to the Web browser until the presentation is complete. It is the same technology used by CNN at www.cnn.com to show news videos.
While audio streams well at all common modem speeds, video is still a little jerky at slower speeds. The quality of the video however really shines on the increasingly popular high speed Internet connections such as Shaw@Home or Sympatico’s high speed offerings.
Increasing the hits on our customers Web sites has always been a priority at Interspin. For the past few months we have been evaluating a selection of search engine submission, ranking and analysis products. We’ve chosen to purchase WebPosition Gold Professional from FirstPlace Software, Inc.
The developers of WebPosition Gold have concentrated their efforts on achieving top results from the most popular search engines. WebPosition Gold achieves this by focusing on your most important keywords and suggests placement of your keywords to achieve maximum results from each search engine. FirstPlace Software Inc. also tracks any changes search engines make to their indexing methods and if necessary automatically updates the software over the web. To learn more about search engine basics, see Searching.
